What data we collect

When you set a permit alert, we collect the following information:

  • ·Your phone number, used to send you SMS alerts
  • ·Your email address, used to send a confirmation when your alert is created
  • ·Your permit preferences: which permit you're watching, desired dates, and group size
  • ·If you subscribe to Pro, your Stripe customer ID (we never store card numbers directly)

We do not collect your name, home address, or any information beyond what is listed above.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to operate the PermitAlert service:

  • ·We send SMS alerts to your phone number when a permit date you're watching becomes available
  • ·We send a one-time confirmation email when you create an alert
  • ·We use your Stripe customer ID to manage your Pro subscription

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the service you signed up for.

Third-party services

PermitAlert uses the following trusted third-party providers to operate:

  • ·Twilio — delivers SMS alerts to your phone. Your phone number is shared with Twilio for this purpose. See Twilio's privacy policy.
  • ·Resend — delivers transactional confirmation emails. Your email address is shared with Resend for this purpose. See Resend's privacy policy.
  • ·Stripe — processes subscription payments for Pro accounts. Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers. See Stripe's privacy policy.
  • ·Supabase — stores your alert preferences and subscription status in a secure, hosted database.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes. Full stop.

Data retention and deletion

Your alert data is kept as long as your alert is active. When you cancel an alert (by replying STOP to any alert text), it is marked inactive and will no longer generate SMS messages.

To request complete deletion of your data — including your phone number, email, and all alert history — email us at permitalertapp@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 7 business days.

Cookies and analytics

PermitAlert does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics tools. We do not collect behavioral or usage data about how you interact with this website.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of PermitAlert after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
